Description
The Marine Design Center (MDC) of the U.S.� Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) intends to initiate a Request for Proposal (RFP) for three (3) marine rated diesel generator sets for the dredge HURLEY of the Memphis District. The provided diesel generators shall be EPA Tier 4 IMO TIII certified. Any auxiliary equipment required to have the units meet the Tier 4 requirement shall be provided as part of this procurement. It is anticipated that the generators sets will need to meet the following characteristics: -2750 KW (minimum), 600VAC, 3 PH, 60 Hz, 0.8 PF.� -Diesel engines and generators rated for constant speed operation. -Generator set mounted on skid, engine flexibly mounted to minimize noise and vibration. -The generator set assembly (not including auxiliary equipment) must fit in the existing dimensional envelope of 38�6� in length, 11�8� in width, and 15� in height. -Generator Set packages are to include any and all required auxiliary equipment including but not limited to: cooling, fuel, oil, exhaust, controls, after treatment, etc.. -The generator sets must be capable of accepting raw water cooling from the vessels existing system. A detailed delivery location will be provided in the solicitation. The Request for Quote (RFQ) W912BU-21-Q-0007 is intended to be available on or about February 16, 2021.� Hard copies will not be available.� No written or fax requests will be accepted.� Contractors may download the solicitation (including drawings) and any amendments via the hyperlink to Beta.Sam.Gov (or after) the issue date.� The official media of distribution for the RFQ is the Web.� All amendments to the RFQ will be posted to the Beta.Sam.gov� website.� It is the offeror�s responsibility to monitor the website in order to access the solicitation.� Bids will be due on, or about March 18, 2021.� NAICS code is 335312 � Motor and Generator Manufacturing. All contractors are required to be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) before award as required by DFARS 204.7300. Information on getting registered may be obtained by accessing the SAM website at www.sam.gov . Instructions will be included in the solicitation. Also, firms who receive a Federal contract in excess of $25,000.00 are required by legislation to submit an annual VETS Report on your employment of targeted veterans.
