- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary, and the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), ARS, Forage and Range Research Utah in Logan, UT (FRRL) has a requirement genomic scaffolding of two perennial grass genomes, bluebunch wheatgrass at 5Gb size and orchardgrass at 2Gb size.� FRRL can ship fresh tissue as well as a contig level assembly.� They need high molecular weight DNA extraction, proximity ligation with an endonuclease to ensure even coverage, and scaffolding assembly.� The purpose of this sources sought notice is to determine if there are adequate vendors available capable of providing the requirement.� The NAICS Code is 541715 The PSC will be B529 In response to this sources sought notice please submit information on your company's capabilities to provide this type of service �Please also provide information on whether your company is the manufacturer or a distributor and a small or large business in accordance with the NAICS code listed in this sources sought notice. The Government acknowledges that responses to this sources sought notice are not binding offers. The information obtained will assist in our market research and future solicitation processes. The purpose of this sources sought is solely to obtain information and sources for our future requirements. No Request For Quote (RFQ) exists.� Responses to the Sources Sought will not be returned.
