- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to solicit for the provision of an Advanced Occupational Training Provider-Cosmetology Program Instructor services for the federal offenders incarcerated at the Federal Prison Camp Bryan located in Bryan, Texas. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirements contract with firm-fixed unit prices. The contract period shall consist of a base period from date of award through 12 months, four one-year options and six month extension for renewal at the discretion of the government. The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code is 611511, with a small business size standard of $8 million.� This solicitation is set aside for small business. The estimated quantities for the base year and each option year are 1645 sessions per year, and 823 sessions for six month extension. A session is defined as an hour. The successful contractor shall possess a Vocational Certification in Cosmetology from an accredited college, technical school or university and/or experience in instruction in a cosmetology field and be certified by the Texas Department of License & Regulation as a Cosmetology Instructor and maintain a valid license.� The instructor must meet the teacher certification requirements for the state of Texas, have at least one year's experience in a related field, and have an extensive knowledge of teaching the areas related to the 1,500 hour program. All contract instructors assigned to provide instruction as part of this contract must demonstrate knowledge of cosmetology.� The solicitation will be made available on or about February 24, 2021, and will be distributed solely through the Federal Business Opportunities website at www.Beta.Sam.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation and amendments, will be distributed solely through this website.
