Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Aerial Targets Program Office (PMA-208) Patuxent River, Maryland, intends to enter into sole source negotiations and subsequently award a contract to Kratos Unmanned Aerial Systems, Inc. (KUAS), Sacramento, CA for the Full Rate Production (FRP) Lot 4, with Options for Lots 5, 6 and 7, of the BQM-177A surface launched aerial targets. It is anticipated that the resulting contract will be firm-fixed-price for the procurement of BQM-177A SSAT, with a quantity range of 30 to 70 for each FRP lot. The procurement also anticipates to include mission kits, RATO kits, production support, engineering services, and technical and administrative data associated with each FRP lot. �Contract Award is anticipated for first quarter fiscal year (FY) 2023. The estimated delivery dates for the base and the options are through FY27. This synopsis is published for informational purposes only. (THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS). This requirement will be procured in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. KUAS is the sole designer, developer and manufacturer of the BQM-177A SSAT to include unique mission kits, special tooling, software and support equipment.� KUAS is the only known contractor with the requisite knowledge, maintenance and repair experience, and noncommercial technical data and software rights to meet the Government�s requirements for the BQM-177A SSAT system. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. There are no commitments by the Government to issue any solicitations, make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties before award of a contract for the efforts mentioned above.
