- THIS REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. It is a market research tool used to determine the availability and adequacy of potential sources prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of award. The RFI does not commit the Government to solicit or award an order now or in the future. No solicitation is available at this time. The information requested may be used by the National Science Foundation (NSF) to develop an acquisition strategy. Any information provided to the Government is strictly voluntary and will be provided at no cost to the Government. The Government is not obligated to pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this FBO announcement. Please see the attached documentation for the details pertaining to the Ship Offload Structure (Barge) for McMurdo Station, Antarctica.� Interested businesses are invited to submit a brief Capabilities Statement package to Jennifer Shymansky at jshymans@nsf.gov on or prior to 4:00 PM Eastern Time on March 29, 2021.� The subject line on your email shall read ""�AIL-BARGE-2021 � Capabilities Statement"" Please do not call the contracting office for information.
