- Description
- Fermi Research Alliance, LLC (FRA) as managing operator of Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (FNAL or Fermilab) under contract with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), wishes to secure insurance brokerage services with a qualified firm for the purpose of providing insurance brokerage, risk review and analysis, risk financing, risk transfer, or other insurance-related services to FRA. FRA seeks the services of a qualified insurance broker to access the best and most competitive markets for commercial insurance coverages. Firms submitting proposals must be fully licensed, and in good standing in applicable jurisdictions, to provide the insurance services described in �Attachment A� Statement of Work for Insurance Brokerage Services, December 2020� (SOW). The firm awarded the subcontract will provide an assessment of the market conditions that will affect the insurance placement of required coverages throughout the year. These coverages include, but are not limited to: Commercial General Liability Business Auto Workers Compensation Umbrella General Liability Directors and Officers Fiduciary Employment Practices Property Crime Kidnap & Ransom Fine Arts Builders Risk (for certain construction projects) Other Specialty Coverages (as required) This request for proposal (RFP) is a single-award, firm-fixed price, IDIQ subcontract competition for insurance brokerage services for a 5-year term, with a minimum value of $1 million and a maximum value of $23.5 million, anticipated to start by the end of June 2021. The IDIQ subcontract awarded will contain the minimum and maximum dollar value, terms, and conditions, and all clauses that govern the subcontract. FRA will use Task Orders to award the individual insurance policies to the selected insurance brokerage firm that receives the IDIQ subcontract. Task Orders are individual subcontract actions that will be governed by the IDIQ subcontract. All Task Orders will have a unique subcontract number assigned to them, and all invoices issued shall contain the Task Order subcontract number.
