Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Lakehurst, NJ intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a firm fixed-price purchase order, on a sole source basis to Instron, a division of Illinois Tool Works, Inc., located in Norwood, MA, for a Linear Variable Differential Transformer (LVDT) Deflection Sensor System for use with the Instron 5985 load frame and Bluehill Universal software. Instron, a division of Illinois Tool Works, Inc. will provide one LVDT Deflection Sensor (p/n 2601-045), one LVDT Deflection Sensor Fixture (p/n 2601-071), one Expansion Channel Module (p/n 2210-920A1) with two conditioner cards (p/n 2210-862) and two adapter cables (p/n 2210-877), shipping, installation, and setup. The LVDT Deflection Sensor is used to measure deformation of a material when a load is applied.� All other components are required for LVDT Deflection Sensor operation by Bluehill Universal software used by the Instron 5985 load frame to record measurements. The period performance is six weeks from the date of order. The Government does not own the data rights and a competitive drawing package for this effort is not available. This notification is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received within fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation will be available for this procurement.
