- On behalf of the Ground Vehicle Systems Center�s Materials Directorate � Additive Manufacturing Team (GVSC MD AM), ACC-DTA is conducting market research to understand capabilities related to the below requirement: Scope: This supplies Performance Work Statement (PWS) establishes the requirements for one Laser Deposition System for the GVSC MD AM Team.� This requirement is to provide one Laser Deposition System that meets the below listed dimensions and requirements. Product Office: Combat Capabilities Command Ground Vehicle Systems Center�s (CCDC GVSC) Materials Directorate Additive Manufacturing (AM) team NAICS: 333249, Other Industrial Machinery Manufacturing Period of Performance: 12 months after receipt of order Type: Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Set-Aside:� TBD Extent of Competition: TBD ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ REQUEST FOR INFORMATION Please review the above and previous contract and respond to the following questions (Negative responses are requested): Is your equipment designed for 480V, three-phase power supply? Does your equipment have a 2 or 3 Kilowatt (KW) IPG Fiber Laser with chiller? Does the equipment include a built in Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS)? Is the equipment capable of operating in dual modes of both nitrogen and argon? Is the deposition process and laser operations contained in a hermetically sealed Class 1 laser enclosure for safety? Does the equipment contain a minimum build envelope of 0.23 cubic meters (m3)? Does the equipment contain a minimum laser head travel distance of 609 x 609 x 609 millimeters (mm)? Does the equipment have an antechamber, with a minimum size of 375 mm diameter, which allows passing smaller tools and materials into the main chamber while maintaining inert atmosphere? Is the equipment capable of five (5) axis; computer numerical control (CNC) controlled motion? Does the equipment have a modular heavy-duty (500 Kilograms capacity) tilt and rotating table for the workplace? Does the equipment provide a tool path generator for use with the control system? Does the equipment have a large front door for accessing the main chamber with minimum dimensions of 1333 x 1524 mm? Does the equipment have a viewing window for process observation that is laser safe? Does the equipment have a fume collection system? Is the equipment Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) approved? Can the contractor guarantee delivery within 12 months after receipt of order (ARO) to Detroit Arsenal, MI? * NOTE: Additionally, please provide a detailed description of previous experience your company has performing similar efforts as well as comments on any concerns your company may have supporting the requirement.
