- Description
- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District (SPK), Sacramento, CA 95814 intends to award a Firm- Fixed-Price Sole Source Contract Modification to Inquip Associates, Inc., P.O. Box 6277 McLean, VA 22106, for a landside seepage/stability berm and the landside levee patrol road with access ramps.� This project would be implemented under Reach H of the American River Common Features Project in Natomas along the Sacramento River East Levee.� This construction will include the following: The seepage/stability berm that will extend a maximum of 50 feet from the landside levee toe.� It will have a minimum height of 4 feet from existing ground at the toe of the berm and will be 7 feet from the landside levee toe elevation. The berm will consist of a 24-inch-thick drainage layer, drain rock at the toe of the seepage berm, and berm fill over the drainage layer. The landside levee patrol road with access ramps, includes construction of a maintenance road to access the site for maintenance and flood flighting related activities. This will be awarded on a sole source basis under the authority of 10 U.S.C.2304(d)(1)(B), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(A) -- Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The applicable North American Industry Classification (NAICS) is 237990 � Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction. The size standard is $39,500,000. In accordance with FAR 36.204(e), the magnitude of effort is between �$500,000 and $1,000,000. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. No solicitation package is available and telephone inquiries will not be honored. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source action; however, all interested persons that identify to the Contracting Officer their intent and capabilities to satisfy the Government�s requirement received by no later than 15 March at 1:00PM Pacific Time Zone will be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
