- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT AN INVITATION FOR BID. THERE IS�NOT A SOLICITATION, NOR SPECIFICATIONS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME.�� The Norfolk District, United States Army Corps of Engineers is seeking eligible firms capable of performing earthwork upgrades to the Curtis Merritt Upland Area and maintenance dredging of the U.S. Coast Guard Sector Field Office Eastern Shore and in Chincoteague, Virginia. The work consists of raising the dikes at the Curtis Merritt Harbor of Refuge Upland Area and maintenance dredging of approximately 11,000 cubic yards of material to a depth of -12 ft. MLLW within the Entrance Channel, Mooring Area, and Boat Basin at the U.S. Coast Guard Sector Field Office Eastern Shore. The work shall be performed with a mechanical bucket dredge and transported from the facility in leak proof dump trucks to the designated upland area adjacent to the Curtis Merritt Harbor complex approximately 2.5 miles away. In accordance with FAR 36/DFARs 236, the estimated construction price range for this project is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. NAICS Code 237990 applies. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this synopsis. Firm's response to this Synopsis shall be limited to 5 pages and shall include the following information. 1. Firm's name, address, point of contact, phone number, and e-mail address. 2. Firm's interest in bidding on the solicitation when it is issued. 3. Firm's capability to perform a contract of this magnitude and complexity (include firm's capability to execute construction, comparable work performed within the past 5 years): Brief description of the project, (customer name, timeliness of performance, and dollar value of the project) - provide at least 3 examples. 4. Firm's Business Size - LB, SB, 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, or WOB. 5. Firm's Joint Ventures (existing), including Mentor Prot�g�s and teaming arrangement information is acceptable. 6. Firm's Bonding Capability (construction bonding level per contract and aggregate construction bonding level, both expressed in dollars) via letter from bonding company. Please only include a narrative of the requested information.� Additional information will not be reviewed. This Sources Sought Synopsis should not be construed in any manner to be an obligation of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Norfolk District to issues a contract, or result in any claim for reimbursement of costs for any effort you expand responding to this request.� No solicitation is currently available. Anticipated Invitation for Bid(IFB)�issuance date is on or about 1 March 2021, and the estimated bid due date will be on or about 31 March 2021.� The construction period of performance will be approximately 105 calendar days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed (NTP). The official synopsis citing the solicitation number will be issued on System for Award Management (SAM) www.sam.gov.
