- NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE 1. The Defense Human Resources Activity (DHRA), on behalf of the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC), intends to award a sole source, firm fixed price (FFP) purchase order under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b) - Soliciting from a single source, to the vendor below: Jones Utilities Construction Inc. PO Box 1090 Spotsylvania, VA 22553 2. The proposed North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 335921, Fiber Optic Cable Manufacturing (size standard 1,000 employees). 3. This requirement will provide DMDC with fiber connection between POP-A and NCX-A located between the Mark Center and 1600 N Beauregard St. that will provide DMDC Network access to DMDC personnel in the offices at the Beauregard site. 4. The services under this requirement are currently provided under contract H9821018P0004. 5. This notice of intent to award a sole source order is not a request for competitive proposals. A solicitation for competitive quotes will not be available for this requirement. Phone calls will not be accepted.� A determination not to compete the proposed order upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
