- SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS (SSS): Solicitation Number:���������������������� ������������ Notice Type: FA8251-21-R-F16SRU� � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � Sources Sought Synopsis/Market Research Synopsis: 1.� Notice:� This is not a solicitation but rather a Sources Sought, Request for Information (RFI). The responses received may determine potential sources. This notice is for information and planning purposes only and in no way binds the Government. The purpose of this Sources Sought is to conduct market research to determine if responsible sources exist, to assist in determining if this effort is competitive and/or a total Small Business Set-Aside.� The expected North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 541330, Engineering Services (Exception 1, Military and Aerospace Equipment and Military Weapons) which has a corresponding size standard of $41.5M.� The Government may use submitted information to determine an acquisition strategy for this procurement and for market research.� The Government intent is to identify small businesses to include but not limited to 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, HUBZone, and Women-Owned small business concerns.� The Government requests that interested parties respond to this notice if applicable and identify your small business status to the identified NAICS code.� Additionally, please provide any anticipated teaming arrangements, along with a brief description of similar services offered to the Government and commercial customers for the past three years.� Any responses involving teaming agreements should provide a percentage delineation of the work that will be accomplished by the prime and the work accomplished by the teaming partners.� 2.� Program Details:��This effort is for: REPAIR of the F16 C/D, APG-68 RADAR, Advanced Programmable Signal Processor Shop Replaceable Units (SRU). The repair processes used by the contractor shall bring service life back to the asset that would resemble the originally manufactured item to be considered a repair. Each SRU will be disassembled only to the extent necessary to accomplish the required repair work.� Any unassociated defect that does not affect fit, form or function or effect to the repair may not require correction. Some examples of these conditions are: (1) Measling on printed circuit boards, (2) Printed circuit board delamination or coating imperfections from previous activity in areas that do not affect fit and function. (3) Discolored printed circuit boards and terminal boards. (4) Discolored or faded handles and hardware, or interior/exterior cabinet, chassis or cover surfaces. (5) Chipped components provided that the hermetic seal or function is not affected. (6) Work performed at other repair facilities unless the workmanship/material results in degradation of form, fit or function. (7) Parts or components with illegible markings. 3.� Submission Instructions:� Both large and small businesses are encouraged to participate in this Market Research.� If, after reviewing these documents, you desire to participate in the market research and your organization has the potential capacity to perform these contract requirements, please provide the following information below in the contractor capability survey as well as tailored capability statements addressing the particulars of this effort, with appropriate documentation supporting claims of organizational and staff capability. If significant subcontracting or teaming is anticipated in order to deliver technical capability, organizations should address the administrative and management structure of such arrangements.
