- Purpose and Objectives: The intent of this Sources Sought Notice is to identify potential businesses, especially any Small Businesses, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) or Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) offerors capable of providing Cryotherapy Units as listed in the below Statement of Need utilizing NAICS Code 339112 (Medical Equipment and Supplies Mfg.). Responses to this Sources Sought Notice should demonstrate the firm's ability, capability and responsibility to provide the principal components of supplies listed below. Responses should include the following information: Business name, address, Point of Contact, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business info and if they are a manufacturer of the items. All information is to be submitted via e-mail at jason.may2@va.gov. Information provided will not be returned. All responses shall be in the English Language. Responses are due by 4:00 pm (EST) on Friday, March 5, 2021. No submissions will be accepted after this date and time. Questions can be submitted electronically to jason.may2@va.gov. This is a Sources Sought Notice and submissions will be used for informational and planning purposes only. This notice does not constitute a formal Request for Quote (RFQ), nor is the government obligated to issue an RFQ. STATEMENT OF WORK Altoona VA Medical Center Title of Project: Cryotherapy Units SCOPE OF WORK: Vendor to provide ten (10) of the following: Game Ready Pro 2.1 System (includes Control Unit, AC Adapter, and 6-foot Connector Hose) Rechargeable Battery Pack Kit Ankle Wrap* with ATX, Large (fits men's shoe sizes 10 -11 and under) Ankle Sleeve, Large Half Leg Boot Wrap* with ATX, Large Half Leg Boot Sleeve, Large Shoulder Wrap* with ATX, Large, Left (fits chest sizes 40""-5 5"") Shoulder Sleeve, Large, Left Shoulder Wrap* with ATX, Large, Right Shoulder Sleeve, Large, Right Elbow Wrap* with ATX (one size fits all) Elbow Sleeve Straight Knee Wrap* with ATX (one size fits all) Straight Knee Sleeve BACKGROUND: The Altoona VA Medical Center s Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Service (PM&Rs) is expanding it physical therapy options to its Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) in Indiana, State College, Dubois, Johnstown, Huntingdon. The main facility clinic also needs an additional unit to meet the current needs. Cold-Compression combo units have proven efficacy in reducing the need for opioids for pain management in alignment of the Comprehensive Addiction Recovery Act of 2015 and VHA s Opioid Safety Initiative. They are also proven to reduce edema as well as improve and accelerate post-operative and injury recuperation. Place of Performance Altoona VA (hereafter referred to as, The VA or VAMC) Period of Performance: Delivery shall occur withing 30 days of receipt of contract. Period covers assembly and verification/testing of operations to ensure the software operates as marketed.
