Description

THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) AND NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE.� The Department of Energy (DOE) intends to issue a Firm Fixed Price award to a single source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(i)(ii), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements.� DOE intends to award this requirement as a sole source to the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) for one year. �AAAS is the sole provider for access to the required journals. The incumbent contractor shall provide the Department of Energy (DOE), Office of Science (SC), online access to the Science and Science Classic journals.� The subscription period is May 1, 2021 through April 23, 2022.� Access is restricted to the Office of Science.� DOE is provided with a direct link to the website which is listed on the OSTI.gov website under the pulldown tab labeled research tools via the SCeJournals link button. �Access is limited to the Office of Science.� The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 511120 - Periodical Publishers, with the size standard of 1,000 employees. �This notice of intent is not a request for proposals or quotes. Any vendor who believes it is capable of meeting the DOE�s requirement as stated herein may submit a response, which will be considered only if received by March 17, 2021 by 5:00 p.m. EST.� Responses to this posting must be in writing and submitted to paynet@osti.gov.� A determination not to compete the proposed order based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.� Please note that any prospective offeror must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov prior to award in accordance with FAR part 4.11.
