- This is a market survey for informational and planning purposes only. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION AND DOES NOT OBLIGATE THE GOVERNMENT TO ISSUE A SOLICITATION. This announcement constitutes an official Request for Information (RFI) as defined by FAR 15.201(e). This is a sources sought notice (not a pre-solicitation notice pursuant to FAR Part 5) to determine the capability and availability of sources with elevator maintenance and repair experience.� The Naval Station Newport, Rhode Island is seeking qualified companies to provide Mobile Crane Contract Maintenance and Repair Services for Naval Station Newport, Rhode Island.� The Contractor shall provide all labor, management, supervision, tools, material, and equipment required to perform elevator maintenance and repair services as described in the Performance Work Statement and associated attachments. � The intent of this contract is to provide crane services (with qualified operators) to support NAVSTA Newport�s BSVE in-house Weight Handling Equipment (WHE) workforce by accomplishing mobile crane services within short time requirements. In addition to the various size crane rentals with certified operators, qualified rigger services may also be required. Special Note to Contractors (Kr) - The services required under this contract will involve Weight Handling Equipment (WHE) crane services. Krs must have the capability to provide cranes that are qualified for each type of these lifts when requested. A qualified crane operator will be required with each crane provided. The need for this service is primarily located at Naval Station Newport, RI. However, the location may include other Navy Bases within a 50 mile radius of the Naval Station. The KR shall comply with the latest revision of the following documents and directives: a.�������� NAVFAC P-307 Management of Weight Handling Equipment Manual. b.�������� 29 CFR 1926.1427 Operator Requirements for cranes used in construction. c.�������� EM-385.-1-1 U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Safety and Health Requirements. d.�������� Navy Security Manual. e.�������� All applicable Federal, state and local requirements. f.��������� NAVFACT Fluid Leakage Acceptance Criteria (Attached to the end of this SOW) Note: Crane Rental time starts when the crane leaves the Kr�s crane storage facility and stops within 1 hour after the last lift of the lease period is completed.� The work will be accomplished under a combination Recurring/Firm Fixed Price (FFP) and Non-Recurring/Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract. The contract term will be a base period of one year plus four option periods. Estimated contract start date is 1 August 2021.��Only the base period of the contract will offer a minimum guarantee.� If the Government does not award a follow-on contract on time, the Government may require the Contractor to continue performance for an additional period up to six months under the Option-to-Extend Services clause. Sources sought include small business, veteran-owned small business, service-disabled small business, HUBZone small business, small disadvantaged business, and women-owned small business concerns. �The NAICS code is 811310�Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance. The Small Business Size Standard is $8 million. Interested vendors should at a minimum, fill out and submit the attached Sources Sought Information Request Form, inclusive of the following information:� Company name, address, point of contact, phone number, e-mail address, business size, and disadvantaged, 8(a) or HUBZone status.� Vendors are also invited to provide the following information, paying particular attention to address: contracts of similar scope and size, references, and record of past performance.� All responsible interested sources are encouraged to submit their capabilities in regard to the above no later than 9 AM on 24 March 2021. �All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the Government.
