- THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. REQUESTS FOR A SOLICITATION WILL NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE. This Sources Sought Synopsis (SSS) is in support of Market Research being conducted by the United States Air Force to identify potential sources. �This is not a Request for Proposal (Solicitation) or an indication that a contractual commitment will exist for this requirement. �The government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market research. �No funds are available to fund the information solicited. The�Air Force�is requesting information in support of Market Research to identify potential sources for one (1) each Beyond Line Of Sight (BLOS) communication equipment.� With HAF banning personal devices in cockpits that process Secret information, and operations taking place at remote locations, we are in need of another method of BLOS communications. This will be the best and most reliable option. This will give the aircraft & aircrews in flight over distributed locations and will be able to coordinate real-time for test conduct and mission help with personnel physically located at Edwards AFB. This represents the only viable solution that will allow for safe, effective, and efficient execution of test over a geographically distributed operational environment. The units, at a minimum, must meet the following requirements: Unit requirements need to be: - Ability to communicate both voice and data via frequencies in the HF band at ranges of 2,000 miles (required) up to 6,000 miles (desired) - Adherence to applicable Federal and military HF communication standards - Reliable, standalone HF long-haul connectivity - Meets new NSA crypto-modernization standards for secure Type 1�Top Secret�and Below voice and data - Wideband data rates up 120 kbps, 10 times greater than existing HF radios - Capable of tuning in a frequency range of 1.5-59.999Mhz, covering the agency HF spectrum.
