- Description
- NASA Ames Research Center (ARC) intends to extend Contract NNA16BD60C, Aeronautics and Exploration Mission Modeling and Simulation (AEMMS), with Science and Technology Corporation (STC) on a sole source basis pursuant to 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1), and FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The purpose of this extension is to continue on-going mission critical work�(e.g. Artemis, Advanced Air Mobility, Commercial Crew, Commercial Supersonic Technology, Entry Systems Modeling, Secure Airspace, Revolutionary Vertical Lift Technologies, and the Army�s Future Vertical Lift Program), pending placement of a follow-on contract. The period of performance will be extended for 18 months (June 1, 2021 through November 30, 2022), if all options are exercised.� The extension consists of a 12 month base (June 1, 2021 through May 31, 2022) and six one-month options (June 1, 2022 through�November 30, 2022).�The extension will increase the current contract value. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.�Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort electronically via email to Naomi.Castillo-Velasquez@nasa.gov not later than 3:00 PM PST�on Wednesday, March 17, 2021.��Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for�the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this acquisition on a competitive basis.� � � � � A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
