Description
The FAA is searching for an�8(a) Certified, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned, Women Owned, or HUB-Zone Small Business qualified in NAICS 238220 as its primary NAICS. The contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, supplies, material, tools, equipment, transportation, and any incidental engineering required to remove and replace two HVAC units at the Chattanooga, TN ATCT facility. The Scope entails:� The contractor shall coordinate with the FAA on the removal of ACU 1 and ACU2 and replacement with units with similar salient characteristics. Existing condenser units have Model number: 50ZND03GBC-20426, for reference.� The units shall be replaced one at a time to ensure no loss of cooling to the facility.� Loss of conditioning of the work space is not acceptable.� Existing system has 9 VAV units installed (see screenshot below of existing VAVs). Roof curb is 20�9� x 8�2� x 5�11�.� See all salient characteristics below.� Contractor shall remove the two new compressors recently installed in one of the rooftop units and provide them to the FAA. The contractor shall capture all refrigerant and properly dispose of it in accordance with applicable regulations. The FAA shall receive a certificate of disposal.� Disconnect all existing sensors and controls connected to each unit to be removed prior to demolition. Existing temperature controls and sensors shall be retained to be reinstalled on the new units. Sensors and controls found to be defective or nonworking shall be replaced with similar devices and be compatible with existing controls. One unit has a roof curb leak that shall be repaired prior to setting new unit.� Contractor shall coordinate these activities to ensure the facility is not open to the elements for an extended period of time. The contractor shall provide and install a rooftop packaged unit that will fit the existing roof curb or provide the necessary curbing to fit the existing opening without compromising the integrity of the roof.� The new units shall be 30 TON, 208V-3P60hz electrical service and have R-410A refrigerant. The replacement units shall bear the salient characteristics for a direct replacement of the existing units.� The contractor shall provide a 5-year warranty in addition to the manufacturer�s warranty.� Provide and Install new NEMA 3R Disconnect switches appropriately sized for the new units.� All conductors may be reused if appropriately sized. The contractor shall certify that the AHU systems, subsystems, and equipment have been installed, calibrated, and started and are operating. The contractor shall set systems, subsystems, and equipment into operating mode to be tested (e.g., normal shutdown, normal auto position, normal manual position, unoccupied cycle, emergency power, and alarm conditions). The contractor shall ensure that all controls work and are compatible with the existing facility controls and monitoring system.�� The contractor shall provide training for a minimum of 4 personnel on the operation and maintenance of the AHU�s. Contractor shall submit to the COR a coordination plan detailing; The plan for the use of the boomlift� Testing and balance,� Removal and installation of the AHU�s including refrigerant capturing The General Contractor (GC) shall be expected to work Monday through Friday during the day time hours of 0700 AM to 0330 PM unless alternatively coordinated in advance with the Contracting Officer Representative (COR). Coordination between the GC and FAA personnel shall be required at all times in order to maintain an operational facility. *** This will be a competed Solicitation among those qualified businesses listed above. *** Any interested vendor must complete and submit via email the attached Past Experience Form by 03/12/21 16:00 CST *** ONLY�those interested vendors who provide a Past Experience will receive a copy of the FULL SOLICITATION PACKAGE.
