- This sources sought notice is for informational purposes only. �This is NOT a Request for Proposal, Request for Quote, or Invitation for Bid. It does not constitute a solicitation and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government. �Responses in any form are not offers and the Government is under no obligation to award a contract as a result of this announcement. �No funds are available to pay for preparation of responses to this announcement. �Any information submitted by respondents to this technical description is strictly voluntary. DLA Land & Maritime is conducting market research to identify potential sources that can supply NSN 4240-01-272-3841 or an alternative product that could be procured in place of NSN 4240-01-272-3841.� The currently approved source of supply for this material is Compressed Gases of Augusta, Inc. (CAGE 7EFU3). The alternative product must have the same form, fit, function, and must be functionally compatible with all existing components of the weapon system. �Interested contractors are requested to review the below description carefully to identify any potential manufacturing challenges and formulate any questions. In order to be considered, all vendors shall be capable of providing at a minimum of 46 units per year.� The estimated yearly quantity required is 46-48 units.� The unit of issue for this NSN is each (EA). Interested parties should provide written responses/a copy of the market survey by 5:00 PM EST on Thursday, March 11, 2020 to: Todd Nace, Contract Specialist at Todd.Nace@dla.mil. �If a solicitation would result from this Sources Sought Notice, it would be synopsized on https://beta.sam.gov and it would be the offeror's responsibility to monitor the https://beta.sam.gov website for any such notices.
