- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SORUCE THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITTIVE QUOTATIONS The U.S Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Network Contracting Office (NCO 5) intends to award one (1) sole source contract to Siemens environmental controls, Inc. under DUNS number 01-094-4650 that covers VA hospital Washington DC Fisher House. NACIS 238220 PSC J041. The Fischer House HVAC System was inspected, and mold and debris were found in the system. The UV lighting, CO2 sensors and humidity controls will eliminate the infectious organisms found inside of the HVAC system from ever being present. The required work includes all work necessary to support the required equipment and supplies needed (description below) to install Environmental Controls on the AHU s, located at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Washington D, C 50 Irving Street NW, Washington DC, 20422. Siemens has the proprietary ownership for the necessary environmental controls to integrate with the existing control system on the Fischer House and Main building. Included: 1. Provide and install 3 outside air dampers and actuators. 2. Provide and install 3 air monitoring sensors and interlock them with CO2 levels. 3. Provide and install 3 UV lighting systems on the AHU s. 4. Provide and install 3 sensors that monitor CO2, temperature and humidity ranges. 5. Provide labor and materials to wire all controls in conduit with NEC codes. 6. Provide 1year warranty on installation and parts. 7. Integrate all controls with the existing Siemens Energy Management System. 8. All work will be performed during normal business hours. Siemens is the only responsible source and no other suppliers or services will satisfy agency requirements in accordance with (IAW) FAR 6.302-1.
