Description

Request for Information Title: Request for Information for Support Contractor to Provide Mandarin-English Translation, Interpretation, and Facilitation Services for the United States Department of Defense in Taiwan Description: The purpose of this notice is to obtain preliminary information about the kinds of small businesses capable of performing a contract of this scale and receive industry feedback on the attached Performance Work Statement (PWS). This notice is not a solicitation, and it does not seek the submission of formal binding proposals. In the event that DoD determines that these services will be procured, a formal Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued. The DoD will not reimburse any organization for its time, effort, or costs expended in responding to this Request for Information (RFI). Under the contemplated new contract, the contractor would translate and interpret for United States Air Force (USAF) employees and Taiwan Air Force (TAF) members in support of the Peace Phoenix Soaring (PPS) program. This requirement will be based in Taipei, Taiwan with significant travel expected to the United States. The estimated Period of Performance end date is CY 2028 with the potential for options into 2029. The NAICS code for this effort is 541930 - Translation and Interpretation Services. The subject line should include a reference to �Mandarin-English Translation, Interpretation, and Facilitation Services in Taiwan RFI.� Responses should be tailored to address the attached questionnaire.
