- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 15 intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C 253(c) (1) FAR 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements to Volcano Corporation (a division of Philips), located at 3721 Valley Centre DR Ste 500, San Diego, CA. 92130-3328. All work shall be performed by Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) field service engineers (FSE) authorized by Volcano Corporation. Contractor shall provide full on-site maintenance service to the existing Volcano Imaging Systems. The maintenance service includes preventative maintenance, all replacement parts, labor, travel expenses, tools, test equipment and all other incidentals necessary to maintain or restore the listed equipment to operating specifications according to the manufacturers recommendations. Contractor will, at no additional charge, provide all required licenses, documentation of performance, and perform all field modification instructions, manufacturer recalls, software updates, upgrades, and patches offered by the OEM during the time this agreement. The Volcano Imaging Systems is proprietary and may only be serviced through Volcano Corporation. The place of performance is for the Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center, 5500 E. Kellogg Avenue, Wichita, KS. 67218-1607 The NAICS code is 811219 with a size standard of $22 Million. The notice of intent number is 36C25521Q0233. This action will result in a Firm Fixed-Price contract with a Period of Performance 03/22/2021 03/21/2022 with four (4) option years. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations; interested parties may express their interest by providing a capability statement no later than 03/12/2021 at 11:00 am CST. When responding to this announcement, respondents should refer to Announcement Notice of Intent - 36C25521Q0233 in the subject line to emilio.ballentos@va.gov. The capabilities statement must provide clear and unambiguous evidence to substantiate the capability of the party to provide the required services. A determination not to compete this proposed contract upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If after 03/12/2021 no viable responses have been received in response to this announcement, the Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 15 shall negotiate solely with the Volcano Corporation.
