Description

NASA/GSFC intends to issue a sole source contract to acquire the services from University of Hawaii.� The contractor shall provide satellite laser ranging (SLR) operations, the maintenance and calibration of the NASA Transportable Laser Ranging System (TLRS-4), and support facility planning, installation and operation of the new NASA geodetic stations as part of the NASA Space Geodesy Network (NSGN). The intended period of performance of this requirement will be 5 years.� The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort electronically via email to Nathan Freeman and Nathan.A.Freeman@nasa.gov no later than 12:00 pm eastern standard time on March 10, 2021.� Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this acquisition on a competitive basis.� A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Oral communications ARE NOT acceptable in response to this notice. NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable.
