Description
This is a sources sought/market surveyseeking potential companies that can provide engineering, hardware, software and on-site installationrequired for the modification of the Integrated Control and Monitoring System (ICMS) for the inclusion of the Navigational and Visual Aids (NAVAIDS) for Runway 9R-27Land the Precision Approach Path Indicator (PAPI) Systems for Runways 9L-27R and 10R-28Lat O'Hare International Airport, Chicago, Illinois. The scope of work shallinclude, but is not limited to the following: Expansion of the ICMS at C90 TRACON to include two new Thales Mark-20 Instrument Landing Systems (ILS) monitor/control interfaces with interlock capability for the north side of the airport. Removal of all legacy Mark-1F ILS monitor/control interfaces from the ICMS at C90 TRACON. Expansion of the ICMS at O'Hare International Airport ATCT to include PAPI monitor/control interfaces for Runways 9L-27R and 10R-28L. The ICMS is a monitor and control system that automates the interface to navigation and lighting aids equipment in an airport facility. The ICMS shall accomplish this automation in a No-Single-Point-of-Failure architecture. Any component of the ICMS can fail and the ICMS shall report the loss of that component andcontinue to function. The interface to the remote equipment shall be accomplished with redundant industrial grade computers called Concentrators. These Concentrators shall be linked to numerous ICMS workstations over dual redundanct local area networks (LANs). They shall collect status data from the Concentrators and present it to the user in a Graphical User Interface (GUI). The ICMS shall also provides automated category management for each runway based on the status of all relevant NAVAIDS equipment. All commands sent to the remote equipment and status changes received from the remote equipment are to be time and date stamped and logged into an archive file to achieve a ""Black Box"" on ground feature. The installation and use of ICMS willrequire no modification to the remote equipment. The ICMS should have the ability to beeasilymodified to support other existing and future ILS equipment. This system shall be designed to enhance safety, reliability and operational effectiveness of the entire air traffice control system at the airport.
