- Description
- The intent of this Sources Sought Announcement is to assist in our decision-making process for services procurement. This is not a solicitation, nor request for quotes or proposals. Through the receipt of responses, this will enable a more precise type of procurement process. The Government is not obligated to nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought synopsis request. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award of a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. Any inquiries are to be made in writing by email to the point of contact, Emily Trinh, Contract Specialist. Responses to this notice shall be sent by email to emily.trinh@va.gov by the due date and time of 03/12/2021 by 4:00 p.m. (Pacific Time). The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 21, is conducting market research to identify potential sources capable of providing laboratory assay testing services to facilitate further development of the Sex Differences in Fear Conditioning: Mechanisms of Risk and Resilience for PTSD Study. The intended contract period will be for a base year and one one-year option period, which may begin approximately April 1, 2021. The contractor will provide laboratory assay testing services to conduct combined assays for steroids including the following: Aldosterone, androstanediol, androstenediol, androstenedione, cis-androsterone, cortexolone, cortexone, corticosterone, cortisol, cortisol sulfate, cortisone, Estradiol, 2-methoxyestradiol, estriol, estrone, etiocholanolone, pregnenolone, 17-hydroxypregnenolone, beta-pregnanolone, allo-pregnanolone, Progesterone, 17?-hydroxyprogesterone, dihydroprogesterone, 20-hydroxyprogesterone, testosterone, testosterone glucuronide, dihydrotestosterone, trans-androsterone, dehydroepiandrosterone, dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate, Taurodehydrocholate, Tauro-?-Muricholic acid, Tauro-?-Muricholic acid, Tauro-?-Muricholic acid, Tauroursodeoxycholic acid, Taurocholic acid, ?-Muricholic acid, Glycoursodeoxycholic acid, Glycohyodeoxycholic acid, ?-Muricholic acid, Glycocholic acid, ?-Muricholic acid, Taurochenodeoxycholic acid, Taurodeoxycholic acid, Cholic acid, Ursodeoxycholic acid, Glycochenodeoxycholic acid, Glycodeoxycholic acid, Taurolithocholic acid, Chenodeoxycholic acid, Deoxycholic acid, Glycolithocholic acid, Lithocholic acid, ceramides, sphingomyelins, cholesteryl esters, oxysterols, lyso- and phospholipids, mono-, di- and triacylglycerols, galactosyl- and glucuronyllipids. Laboratory assay testing services is needed for 82 subjects and 180 samples. The Contractor shall have expertise in expertise in endocrinology, particularly targeted metabolite analyses.
