- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command, in support of PMA-261 CH-53 Heavy Lift Helicopters Program Office, intends to negotiate and award a sole source contract (base plus four options) with Robertson Fuel Systems, L.L.C. Tempe, Arizona to deliver follow-on Tactical Bulk Fuel Delivery System (TBFDS) Restraint Kits and technical data for the CH-53K aircraft. The contract will include Tactical Bulk Fuel Delivery System (TBFDS) Restraints and related components to support CH-53K Heavy Lift Helicopter operations. Robertson Fuel Systems has been the sole designer, developer, manufacturer and producer/supplier of the H-53 Tactical Bulk Fuel Delivery System (TBFDS) and, accordingly, is the only known responsible firm with the requisite knowledge, capability, experience, special tooling, and test facilities necessary to fulfill the Government's requirements within the required timeframes herein. �The authority permitting other than full and open competition is Title 10 USC 2304(c)(1), as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302.� Interested parties, however, may identify their interest and capability by responding to this requirement.� However, the Government will consider any capability statements received within fifteen days after date of publication of this synopsis.� A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.� Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.� Companies interested in subcontracting opportunities should contact Mr. Ryan Albertsen at Ryan.Albertsen@robbietanks.com.
