Description

The Department of Commerce, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), intends to negotiate a firm fixed price purchase order, on a sole source basis, with Euromonitor International Inc. The procurement is to allow the Hollings Manufacturing Extension Partnership Program (MEP) National Network to use Euromonitor International online database Passport. NIST MEP will purchase licenses local MEP Centers to access Euromonitor International's online database Passport which will strengthen the MEP Centers in their client services through broad market statistics and insights.� Currently, NIST MEP tools and services do not incorporate the features within Euromonitor International Passport database. With access to Euromonitor Passport resources, MEP Centers will be able to provide market intelligence on the assets available to understand potential market impact and opportunity for U.S. small and medium sized manufacturers. ��There are no other products like Euromonitor Passport tool that can provide the search capabilities on domestic and international manufacturing, understand manufacturing and/or industry trends, patterns, and players.� The Euromonitor Passport tool will help MEP local Centers benchmark small and medium manufacturers performance against industry standards. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 519130, and the size standard is 1000 employees. No solicitation package will be issued.� This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement.� The Government will consider responses received by 10:00 a.m. on March 19, 2020.� Inquiries will only be accepted via email to robert.singman@nist.gov. No telephone requests will be honored. �� A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.� Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.�
