- The United States Navy�s Military Sealift Command (MSC) is conducting market research to effectively identify capabilities and requirements of new and existing companies available in the market place for supporting Adaptive Force Package (AFP) program mission support equipment (MSE) shipboard onloads/offloads, integrations/de-integrations, and maintenance for the United States Navy (USN). The information being requested will be used within the MSC acquisition office to facilitate decision making and will not be disclosed outside the agency. This is a request for information (RFI) only and does not constitute a request for a proposal/quote nor obligates the Government to make purchase of any supplies or services now or in the future. The information sought and provided will be used for planning purposes only. In addition, if submitting proprietary data, please mark accordingly. All proprietary data will be handled IAW Government regulations. Please be advised that all submissions become property of the Government and will not be returned. I. BACKGROUND INFORMATION MSC is seeking information to determine the availability and technical capability of the business community to support MSC AFP program containerized MSE requirements. MSE includes portable accommodation or industrial modules as defined in American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) rules, as well as ISO tank, dry and refrigerated containers varying in size from standard TEU to tri-container (TRICON).� Typical equipment is described in Table 1.� Please see attachement for additional information.
