Description
SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. No solicitation is available. This notice is released pursuant to FAR 15.201(e) Exchange with Industry. Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (PNS) is seeking to identify sources to accomplish a Firm Fixed Price contract for the demolition of This requirement is for the disassembly and removal of three, (3) Remstar vertical stackers installed at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Kittery, ME. The contractor selected to perform this work shall be familiar with the operation of Remstar. DRAFT Contract Opportunity The NAICS code for this requirement is 811310, Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance. The Product Service Code is P999, Salvage, Other Interested sources will provide authorized personnel capable of performing the typical tasks as listed: Machinery consists of 2 (two) Remstar Model; HPS-251-2713, 5-12, and 1 (one) Remstar Model; HPS-251-3610, 5-12, for a total of 3 (three) units. Units are currently non-operational and empty, and located within an industrial building in a controlled area. Chain link fencing surrounds these units and will need partial removal to facilitate demolition, with reconfiguration (5 posts) to follow removal. Removal must be completed within two months from current date. Unless indicated otherwise in this SOW, the Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials/parts, per diem/transportation, and other items/services necessary to perform the work as described herein. The Contractor shall provide and require their personnel to wear personal protection equipment, (PPE, e.g., hearing protection, eye protection, gloves, steeltoed shoes or boots, aprons, masks, face shields, reflective vests, safety harnesses for fall protection in accordance with OSHA CFR 1926, construction and CFR 1915, shipyard standards). The contractor is required to follow all appropriate lockout/tagout, (LOTO) requirements as specified by OSHECM Chapter 250 and CFR 1915.89. Contractor shall conform to all applicable safety and occupational health standards published in the Federal Register or any other Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Public Laws and ensure employees observe safety, traffic control, and fire prevention requirements in effect at the site. The contractor shall disassemble, and remove all materials that make up the three units including; motors, liquids, (e.g. oil and coolant) chains, shelving and walls. All studs cut and ground flush to floor and area swept clean. A portion of the chain link fence that surrounds the three, (3) Remstars will need to be taken down, cut off and removed permanently. The remaining chain link will need to be properly reattached to the new endpoint of the fencing. From north going south, three, (3) vertical posts will be removed and two, (2) posts from east to west removed. All evidence of equipment�s existence must be removed. The contractor selected to perform this work shall be familiar with the operation of Remstar. This sources sought is a market research tool being utilized to determine potential and eligible firms capable of providing these services prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of Request for Quote (RFQ). Therefore, all interested parties are encouraged to respond. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Only responders who meet the following criteria should respond to this sources sought notice: 1. Meet specifications outlined in this document. 2. Has an active CAGE code with the SAM.gov 3. Does not appear on the Excluded Parties List Responses should include the following information: 1. Responder�s contact information including company name. Previous Contracts Performed for Similar Scope of Work Capable interested parties are requested to respond to this Sources Sought with a PDF Document Format. Proprietary information should be minimized and must be clearly marked.
