ADDITIONALLY, PLEASE NOTE YOU MUST PROVIDE PROOF OF QUALIFICATIONS LISTED IN THE STATEMENT OF WORK**** We will anticipate the need for performance and payment bonds on this project The cooling towers were installed in 2010 and the cooling tower fill (heat exchange medium for evaporative cooling) needs to be replaced. The drift eliminator portion of the fill is damaged and needs to be repaired. The objective of this contract is to replace the fill independently, keeping one cooling tower in operation while the other is maintenance. The hospital either depends on the chiller or the flat plate heat exchanger, which both depend on one cooling towers for heat transfer. This will improve the heat transfer capacity. The fill itself has deposits which reduce the surface area available for heat transfer. The water is chemically treated but the chemicals do not remove all of the deposits. When the tower is cleaned mechanically, the power spray cleaners often damage the material.
