- Notice of Intent to Sole Source for Sterna lock Blu and Rib lock Blu implants Pursuant to FAR Subpart 16.702 and 38 U.S.C Section 8123, the Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 6, Hampton, VA, intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source to award a Blanket Purchase Agreement Consignment to Biomet Microfixation, LLC dba Zimmer Biomet CMF and Thoracic, 1520 Tradeport Dr. Jacksonville FL 32218. This single award will establish a Consignment Agreement relationship on Sterna lock Blu and Rib lock Blu implants specific products required for immediate surgical procedures. The Sterna lock Blu and Rib lock Blu implants have been determined to meet specific medical needs for surgeries. This notice is not a request for quote and a solicitation will not be issued in conjunction with the notice of intent. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any vendor that believes it can provide the stated supplies/equipment can provide supporting documents demonstrating their products capability and specifications. All Products Must Be FDA Approved.
