- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR OFFERS OR PROPOSALS. THIS NOTICE DOES NOT REPRESENT A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT TO ISSUE A SOLICITATION OR AWARD A CONTRACT. INFORMATION RECEIVED WILL BE USED TO DETERMINE THE AVAILABILITY OF TECHNICALLY CAPABLE AND OTHERWISE RESPONSIBLE FIRMS THAT WOULD BE INTERESTED IN FUTURE OPPORTUNITIES. The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), has a potential need for general contractors to provide miscellaneous construction services on either a stand-alone contract or an IDIQ (Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity) basis for repair and alteration projects at NAWCAD owned facilities at the following locations: Patuxent River Naval Air Station, Patuxent River, Maryland; and Webster Outlying Field, Saint Inigoes, Maryland.�� Results of this sources sought will be used to inform future facilities and infrastructure contracting decisions. Task order requirements may include but are not limited to: general construction, painting, carpeting, walls and framing, demolition, asbestos remediation, carpentry, HVAC, electrical work, ceilings and plumbing. Any resulting contracts will be procured under NAICS 236220, which has a small business size standard of $39.5 million. At this time, NAWCAD is interested in SBA-certified 8(a) companies who have interest in potentially performing work at Patuxent River, Maryland; and Saint Inigoes, Maryland. Additional information related to SBA programs can be found at www.sba.gov. Companies; who have the necessary experience in construction, as well as an interest in this contract, should submit a statement of capabilities, which is not a proposal, but rather a short statement regarding the firm's expertise and experience on construction projects similar in scope to the one described in this notice. Within the company�s capability statement, NAWCAD is requesting the following information: Company demographic information to include home office location, satellite office closest to Patuxent River Naval Air Station, company contact information to include identification of personnel with signature authority, responsible SBA office contact information, CAGE code, and aggregate bonding information. � Corporate Experience to include demonstrated experience in the following circumstances: renovating spaces while the building is partially occupied, renovating and/or constructing secure spaces, design, procurement, and installation of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FFE), and large scale complex design-build projects for both commercial office and laboratory spaces. � Discuss your firm�s established relationships with Architect and engineer companies. Please provide information about the specializations of those companies (e.g., interior design and agile space arrangements, mechanical, architectural, civil, etc.). � Company procedures for the competition and selection of subcontractor companies. Company procedures for the management of subcontractors. � Company procedures and abilities to surge manpower in a competitive market to meet accelerated Government requirement schedules. Statements of capabilities are to be limited to 12 pages. Statements of capabilities must be submitted no later than April 11, 2021; 4:00 PM EST.
