Ordering Qty: 25 Max Ordering Qty: 750 End Item: M1A2 SEPV3 Abrams Tank Response Date: 03/23/2021 Requirements Description: Part Number 57K7332, Portable Multifunction Display and Container: The primary component is the Portable Multifunction Display (PMD), PN 12570719-2. The PMD is a ruggedized tablet used by the loader, one of four crew in the M1A2 tank. The PMD is the primary component of the Loaders Display Unit (LDU). The other components are a docking station and tether. The purpose of the LDU is to provide the Soldier Machine Interface (SMI) between the Loader and the vehicle. The LDU Unit has a video display for situational awareness, ammo count inventory and interface for vehicle software downloads via the Ruggedized Portable Storage Device (RPSD). The LDU is mounted in the loaders station, positioned for optimal viewing by the loader. The LDU may be operated in three configurations, with the PMD docked in the docking station, disconnected but tethered to the docking station, or completely disconnected from the vehicle and battery powered. The LDU is a recent upgrade added to enhance the M1A2 SEPv3. The PMD will meet the technical requirements in drawing 12570719. The container is a commercially available case from Hardigg Industries.
