- This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government. This notice is intended strictly for Market Research. This is a Request for Information only. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The Department of Veterans Affairs South Texas VA Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas intends to award a brand name or equal contract award for the purchase of a Dentsply. The Government is conducting a market survey to help determine the availability and technical capability of qualified service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, veteran-owned small businesses, small businesses, HUBZone small businesses and/or other large businesses capable of serving the needs identified below. This notice of intent is for open market as well as Federal Supply Schedule items. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification/socioeconomic status (service-disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, women owned small business, HUB Zone, 8(a), small business or large business, relative to NAICS 339114 with a size standard of 750 employees. Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced on Federal Business opportunities website http://www.fbo.gov or GSA E-Buy at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. Your responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible. Upgrade must allow for powder - free scanning with precise 3D (full-jaw) scan. Software must be compatible with existing CEREC Omnicam that is currently designed to fit in hand properly in order to scan easy. Software design must allow operator to determine color of scanned teeth in CEREC software-based scan while allowing operator to expand treatment spectrum to aligner treatment. Software needs to work with CAD/CAM. Unit: MC XL (model: Cerec MC XL) (SN 305051) Software must allow unit to continue to provide wet milling and grinding with production options for operator dental laboratory. Upgrade allow for large selection of materials and uses that give particularly flexible and efficient production options to operator. Software that allows for glass- and hybrid ceramic restorations that can be produced at a previously unachievable speed with simultaneous double four-axis processing. Software that will allow a fully contoured Celtra Duo crown to be done in less than 10 minutes. Software upgrade that allows the grinder to be used on as small as 0.6 mm for restorations with maximum detail in the occlusal and interproximal areas and at the preparation margin. Unit: MC X5 (model: MC X5) (SN 102606) Software needs to continue to be compatible with the inLab MC X5 design as a universal five-axis production unit in order to meet dental laboratory requirements for cost-efficient production. Upgrade needs to continue for laboratory to have more independence in terms of material and indications as well as the processing of external CAD data. Software for inLab MC X5 must continue to be an open production unit. It is the perfect complement to the inLab components inEos X5 and inLab software but can also be used to process other STL restoration data, including implant-supported restorations with screw access channels. Having its own CAM module, the unit can be connected flexibly to other CAD systems. Software must continue to for use for inLab MC X5 that can be used for dry or wet production depending on the material and indication.
