Description
Notice of Intent NAICS Code: 811219 Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance. The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), intends to award a sole source purchase order under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures to PerkinElmer Health Sciences, Inc. to procure a computer upgrade and installation for a PerkinElmer Phenix Opera High-Content Screening system. The computer upgrade includes an Expandable PC compatible with the Phenix Opera High-Content Screening system, License Agreement, and installation by Perkin Elmer High Tech service engineers. PerkinElmer, Inc. is the sole and only source, owner, distributor, and provider of the Phenix Opera High-Content Screening system. Additionally, the EPA has identified PerkinElmer, Inc as the only vendor capable of satisfying these requirements. The circumstance permitting this sole source procurement is FAR Subpart 13.106-1 (b) ""Soliciting from a single source"". All interested parties who believe they can provide the required items should fully explain their capabilities and qualifications in writing within 5 calendar days from the date of this announcement and provide itemized pricing that is sufficient to make a determination that competition is feasible. The intent of this notice is to determine if any other source(s) exist, and therefore, no solicitation is available. Consequently, anyone failing to provide the aforementioned and instead chooses to merely submit a routine letter requesting a copy of the statement of work or more information about the project will be ignored. The information received in response to this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether competition is viable. Responses to this notice should be submitted to the Contract Officer, Jeffery Clodfelter via the following e-mail address (Clodfelter.Jeffery@epa.gov) within 5 calendar days from the date of this notice. No telephone inquiries will be accepted.
