Description
The National Park Service, DOI Regions, 3, 4, and 5, NEKOTA Major Acquisition Buying Office (MABO) intends to issue a solicitation for the renovation of the water storage tanks at Mount Rushmore National Memorial, Keystone, South Dakota, 57751. The government will use a competitive Invitation for Bids/Sealed Bid process. The solicitation number will be 140P6321B0003. This project includes all work and materials to complete the renovation of 3 underground storage tanks, (75K, 125K,and 500K gallons) The work will be completed in in three phases: Phase I - 75,000 gallon reservoir, Phase II �125,000 gallon reservoir, & Phase III � 500,000 gallon reservoir, for a total of 230 day period of performance. This project is 100% set-aside for small businesses using NAICS Code 237110 with a size standard of $39.5 million. The magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. The National Park Service, DOI Regions, 3, 4, and 5, NEKOTA MABO, intends to award a firm-fixed price, construction contract in response to the solicitation. The government intends to issue a formal Solicitation with construction specifications on or about March 30th 2021. If this date is delayed, the solicitation will follow as soon as possible. This is the preliminary notice of a solicitation that will follow. The responses will be due approximately 30 days after the solicitation issue date and it is anticipated that the bid opening date will be scheduled in April. The specific date will be announced in the solicitation that will follow this notice. A Pre-bid site visit is tentatively scheduled to begin at the Mount Rushmore National Memorial�s Waste Water Treatment Plant Office at 9:00 AM Mountain Time on April 13th , 2021. See 52.236-27, Site Visit once the solicitation is issued for specifically tailored guidance as a result of COVID-19. Contractors must contact Julie Gavin, julie_gavin@nps.gov, to RSVP for this site visit. The anticipated period of performance will be approximately 230 days, which includes mobilization time. Tentative construction start time of July 2021 is projected. The final performance period start date is contingent on issuance of Notice to Proceed. The solicitation will be available on the betaSAM.gov website at https://beta.sam.gov. No hardcopies or email copies will be provided. Offerors must have a DUNS number and be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM) http://www.sam.gov in order to be eligible for award. Bidding documents must be submitted in hard-copy format with bonding as per terms of the solicitation that will follow this notice.
