Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 16 - HOUSTON In Support of the Alexandria VA Medical Center REQUEST FOR INFORMATION 36C25620Q0082 STATEMENT OF WORK INTERIM MOBILE MRI MAGNET SYSTEM GENERAL REQUIREMENT Alexandria VA Health Care System (VAHCS) hereby request the rental of a Philips 1.5T Mobile MRI (or equivalent) system on an interim basis. The contractor shall provide all equipment tools, materials, labor, transportation, site construction (to include utility hook-ups) if necessary, equipment training, on-site installation, and anything else necessary to provide for the equipment rental for the Philips 1.5T Mobile MRI (or equivalent) system. Contractor is responsible for all maintenance and service of the mobile MRI system to include all Preventative Maintenance, Service Calls, Transportation, Parts, and Labor at no additional cost to the Alexandria VAHCS. The mobile system is needed for a period of 6 months with the option for additional months if necessary. The system shall be delivered, set-up and fully functional within 45 days after contract award. The contractor shall be responsible for dis-assemble and removal of the system at the end of the contract period of performance. The contractor shall be responsible for all maintenance and Original Equipment Maintenance (OEM). The OEM response time is 4-hours. During the duration of the contract, the Mobile MRI system shall maintain a minimum clinical availability ( Uptime ) of ninety (90%) under normal use and circumstances. Contractor shall keep and maintain the system in good working condition in accordance with the OEM. Contractor shall provide cryogens, service, and preventive maintenance of the system at regular intervals between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. The Mobile MRI system must at a minimum fit into the electrical parameter described in the attached diagram. It must be a five prong electrical Plug along with the configuration and electrical components seen in diagram. The dimensions that the mobile system must fit into will be at a minimum 57 in length x 21 in width along with a height minimum of 13 6 . The mobile trailer shall not exceed 48 long x 10 wide x 13 6 height. VA does not accept grey market items. Please note that VA is particularly interested in determining the availability of Small Business Manufacturers. If your company is a small business manufacturer of potentially equivalent items, please respond to this RFI. Vendors are requested to submit estimated market research pricing with their responses. The estimated pricing will be considered when determining the procurement strategy for the future solicitation. (e.g. if CO determines that capable small businesses cannot provide fair and reasonable pricing, then the solicitation will not be set-aside). Please note that if no responses to this notice are received, from either authorized distributors of the cited brand name nor from manufacturers marketing a potentially equivalent brand, then this action will be sole sourced to the manufacturer cited in the Background section above.
