- BOBCAT MODEL 5610 TOOLCAT UTILITY WORK MACHINE 1. This is a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation for Commercial Items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.� This announcement constitutes the only solicitation that will be issued; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Government anticipates a Firm-Fixed Price Purchase Order will be issued from this solicitation. 2. This requirement is being solicited as Request for Quotation (RFQ).� The RFQ number is NIH-RFQ-5907806. 3.� The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2021-05, dated March 10, 2021. 4.� This requirement is solicited as a full and open competition.� The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 333120.� Its associated Small Business Size Standard is 1250 employees. 5.� List of Item(s):� The vendor shall provide the following item(s) in the quantities specified below. a. Bobcat Model 5610 Toolcat Utility Work Machine, 1 each 6.� Description of Item Requirements Background: The National Institutes of Health (NIH) currently owns Bobcat brand utility work machines and attachments.� The attachments owned are made specifically for use with Bobcat brand utility work machine and are not compatible with other brands of machine. The machine must accommodate the attachments that NIH currently owns.� ��Other brand similar products do not meet and cannot be modified to meet the agency�s needs.� Procuring a different brand machine would require NIH to repurchase these attachments.� If the Government must purchase new attachments, it would incur substantial duplication of costs that are not expected to be recovered through competition.� General Requirements: The machine supplied shall be a new machine and must meet the manufacturer�s performance standards for new machines.� The machine shall not have been used previously, remanufactured, refurbished, or reconditioned.
