- Engineering Technology Support Specialist Academic Training for FRCSE Apprenticeship Program This sources sought synopsis is for informational and planning purposes only in reference to the soon to be released solicitation N6883621Q0112. This is not a Request for Proposal, Request for Quote, or Invitation for Bids. It does not constitute a solicitation and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government. Responses in any form are not offers, and the Government is under no obligation to award a contract as a result of this announcement. No funds are available to pay for preparation of responses to this announcement. Any information submitted by respondents to this technical description is strictly voluntary. The purpose of this sources sought notice is to survey prospective vendors that are regionally or nationally accredited educational institutions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and authorized to deliver post-secondary education programs. This accreditation is necessary to meet the academic requirements of the apprenticeship program. The Contractor shall provide, deliver, and document the curriculum required by the apprenticeship program. Completion of required courses must result in the awarding of an Engineering Technology Support Specialist certificate. This course of study shall support the objectives of the apprenticeship program, which supports the repair and maintenance of U.S. Naval aviation operations. Academic courses shall be offered during Fall and Spring semesters. Academic credits shall be awarded by the contractor, and include the courses required for the Engineering Technology Support Specialist certificate as well as three additional courses for Math, Composition, and a Technical/Professional Report Writing course. As used herein, the term Contractor is defined as the Prime Contractor and any resultant Subcontractor(s). Capabilities statement shall include the following information: 1) Company name, address, POC name, phone number, fax number and email 2) Contractor (CAGE Code) 3) Size of business-Large Business, Small Business, Small Disadvantaged, 8(a), HubZone, Woman-owned and/or Veteran-owned 4) In your response, provide a brief description of the capability, resources, and technical competencies and organizational experience relative to the key requirements. Standard brochures/and or paraphrasing of the draft Performance Work Statement will not be considered sufficient to demonstrate the capabilities of an interested party. All data received in response to this sources sought, marked or designated as corporate or proprietary, will be fully protected from release outside the Government.
