Request for Information or Solicitation for Planning Purposes�(Oct 1997) ������(a)�The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this solicitation or to otherwise pay for the information solicited except as an allowable cost under other contracts as provided in subsection�31.205-18, Bid and proposal costs, of the Federal Acquisition Regulation. ������(b)�Although ""proposal"" and ""offeror"" are used in this Request for Information, your response will be treated as information only. It shall not be used as a proposal. ������(c)�This solicitation is issued for the purpose of determining the potential cost and location of a new emergency overflow storage facility for warehousing of antiviral medications and emergency preparedness and response products. This new storage facility would provide emergency overflow space only. NSSC will maintain its own main warehouse. BACKGROUND The Indian Health Service (IHS) National Supply Service Center (NSSC) located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, services IHS and Tribal Health Care facilities nationwide. The NSSC Coordinates and manages the purchase and distribution of pharmaceuticals, medical, and other health care related supply items. Accordingly, NSSC serves as the IHS Supply management operation and distributor of emergency and pandemic supplies. Currently the NSSC contracts for storage and warehousing of antiviral medications and emergency preparedness and response products and is considering leasing a new emergency overflow storage facility for the current and future pandemics. RESPONSE INFORMATION IHS is seeking offerors to provide information on pricing/location for warehousing/storage services in an indoor facility located within 30 miles of the National Supply Service Center 501 NE 122nd Suite F, Oklahoma City, OK 73114. The specific requirements of the facility are listed in the attached Draft SOW. The potential North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 531120 � Lessors of Nonresidential Buildings. INSTRUCTIONS TO INDUSTRY All capable parties are encouraged to respond to this RFI. The Government requests offeror(s) submit a written response to this RFI which includes: Offeror point of contact Offeror�s System for Award Management (SAM) registration status Address of facility Estimated pricing for the services described herein and in the Draft SOW Filled out questionnaire (copy of which is attached to this RFI) Please be sure to combine all documents prior to uploading and submitting via email. DISCLAIMER AND IMPORTANT NOTES This notice shall not obligate the Government to award a contract. Any information provided by offeror(s) to the Government as a result of this RFI is strictly voluntary. Responses will not be returned. No entitlements to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges to the Government will arise as a result of offeror�s submission of responses, or the Government's use of such information or otherwise pay for the information provided in response. The Government reserves the right to use information provided by respondents for any purpose deemed necessary and legally appropriate. Any offeror responding to this notice should ensure that its response is complete and sufficiently detailed to allow the Government to determine the organization�s qualifications to perform the work. Respondents are advised that the Government is under no obligation to acknowledge receipt of the information received or provide feedback to respondents with respect to any information submitted. After a review of the responses received, a solicitation may be published. Furthermore, responses to this notice will not be considered adequate responses to any such solicitation.
