- THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE, NOT A REQUEST FOR A QUOTE (RFQ). AN RFQ WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND QUOTES WILL NOT BE REQUESTED. Single Crystal XRD Rigaku XtaLAB Synergy-S Flow X-ray Crystallography System The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Explosive Division (NSWC IHD), Contracts Department, Code 02 intends to award a contract for the purchase of a Rigaku XtaLAB Synergy-S Flow X-ray Crystallography System, cyro-system, computer and installation services on a sole source basis to Rigaku Americas Corporation. Rigaku Americas Corporation is the only qualified vendor capable of providing the system that will meet our needs and is compatible with existing data collected by collaborators at NRL and other sites. Award of a firm-fixed price contract to Rigaku Americas on a sole source basis for the procurement of a Rigaku XtaLAB Synergy-S Flow X-ray Crystallography System, cyro-system, computer and installation services. The identified source is: �� � Rigaku Americas Corporation 9009 New Trails Drive The Woodlands, TX 77381-5208� USA Cage Code: 4K781 Business Size: Other than Small The scope of this contract purchase from Rigaku of Americas includes five (5) major line items that are part of the overall instrument. First, the Single Crystal X-ray Diffractometer, which consists of the cabinet, generators, general hardware, x-ray sources,flow robot system/starter kit, software and a Hybrid Photon Counting (HPC) detector. Second, a high pressure kit for collection of data on samples in a diamond anvil cell (DAC). Third, the cryo-system and all ancillary parts will be treated as a line item. Fourth, the computer for operation has been separated as line item in order to prepare an ITPR. Fifth, the services that are free, i.e. set up, training, and warranty/service visit, have been separated into the final category. THIS IS NOT AN INVITATION FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 USC 2304(C)(1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the Government will consider all responses received to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. No solicitation will be available for this procurement.
