- This is to inform the Industry that the proposal due date has changed to 11 May 2021. An amendment to this solicitation will be posted to finalize this change.� � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � ELECTRIFIED POWERTRAIN FLIGHT DEMONSTRATION NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center (NASA/AFRC) intends to solicit and award one or more contracts for the �Electrified Powertrain Flight Demonstration� project and to secure the services required to support NASA in�investigating the utilization of flight demonstrations to rapidly mature Electrified Aircraft Propulsion (EAP) technologies and associated EAP-based vision systems for introduction into the US fleet no later than 2035. The objective of this requirement is to assist NASA Aeronautics Level Goals : to accelerate the introduction of Megawatt (MW) class EAP systems into future aircraft products by U.S. industry; and to identify certification gaps, and address gaps through ground test and flight tests. The Government requires Government purpose rights to the all deliverables submitted under this requirement. This requirement is limited to Domestic sources. Proposals from foreign sources will not be accepted. Offerors shall submit their proposals electronically to the Contracting Officer, James G. Williams (email: james.g.williams-1@nasa.gov) via the NASA Large File Transfer system no later than: 2:00 pm Pacific Time, 11 May�2021. Only electronic submitted proposals will be accepted. Offerors are required to submit a request for access to the Large File Transfer system no later than 1:00 pm Pacific Time, 4 May�2021. The request for access shall be submitted to the Contracting Officer via email. The EPFD Project will host an Industry Day on March 9, 2021 consisting of a 45-minute overview of the solicitation and the associated posted documentation. Industry will have the opportunity to request�a 45-minute (time period may be adjusted by NASA) slot to hold a private question and answer session. A limited number of slots are available so potential Offerors shall identify three preferred time slots ranking them from 1 to 3. Participants requesting a slot shall submit a two-page executive summary of their intended approach to meet the EPFD Statement of Objectives no later than 6:00am ET, 8 Mar 2021.��NASA will review the executive summary and assign time slots to the individual companies that NASA determines provides the best approach to the EPFD objectives.�monitor the beta.Sam.gov website for any amendments to the solicitation.
