- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District will be issuing a set aside for certified small business contractors for Electrical Services Upgrades at Buffumville Dam in Charlton, Massachusetts .� The NAICS code for the work described below is 238210 (Size Standard $15.0 Million). The project is planned to be issued in March/April 2021, and will be set aside for Small Businesses.� The construction will extend over a six to eight -month period occurring in the summer and fall of 2021.� �The estimated magnitude of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000.� Any responsible source meeting this standard may submit a bid to be considered by the New England District. � This project has the following major components. New Generator and automatic transfer switch installation to be located outside in a sound attenuated enclosure with a sub-base fuel tank, behind the Utility Building. Removal of existing generator in the Control House New Power Panel and feeder conductors at the gate tower Replacement of the gate controller feeds in the gallery New main service disconnect and panels in the project office Replacement of the service disconnect and power panel in the original Operators� Quarters Upgrade the camp site electrical service Temporary standby emergency power during electrical work disconnects Please note that this solicitation is set aside for certified small businesses.� This is not a request for proposals at this time; the solicitation requirements and contract documents which will include instructions for submission and the response date will be available on or about March/April 2021. �Neither telephonic, mailed nor faxed requests for hard copies of this solicitation will be accepted. �The solicitation will only be available online; in order to download the solicitation offerors must access the beta SAM website (www.beta.sam.gov). �All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the New England District.� Additional questions may be emailed to the Contract Specialist at Guesely.Leger@usace.army.mil.
