- Description
- The US Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District is seeking sources to provide personnel, materials, supplies, equipment, transportation, supervision and other items and services for the following: Lower Snake River Sediment Testing/Sampling. The purpose of this sediment sampling and analysis task order is to provide information regarding the physicochemical characteristics of sediments at up to fourteen boat basins managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) that may be dredged in the next three to five years. The basins are located between river miles 42 and 142 on the Lower Snake River. Field sampling will occur during summer 2021. The field sampling and laboratory analyses must adhere to the protocols set forth in the Dredged Material Management Program (DMMP) User Manual, and the Regional Sediment Evaluation Framework (SEF). The actual number and type of samples collected, as well as the laboratory analyses, is contingent on approval of the Sampling and Analysis Plan (SAP) by the Dredge Material Management Office (DMMO). However, at this time it is anticipated that a maximum of 15 grab samples and 8 core samples will retrieved. All samples will be analyzed to determine grain size and total organic carbon (TOC) content. If the laboratory results show that the sample has less than 20 percent fines and 0.5 percent TOC no further analyses will be completed. If either of these criteria are exceeded then the sample will be analyzed for total sulfides, ammonia, a suite of ten metals, and total petroleum. The samples collected from one basin (possibly two cores and two grab samples) will also be analyzed for PCBs, organochlorine pesticides/herbicides, and phenols. The laboratory must be located within 350[DMWCUC(1] miles from 201 North 3rd Ave, Walla Walla, Wa. 99362 The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 541380 and the associated small business size standard is $16.5 Million. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. This sources-sought announcement is a tool to identify businesses with the capability to accomplish the work. Firms who respond to this announcement by submitting the following information will be used in determining whether to set aside this requirement. Please do not respond to this notice unless you will be responding to the solicitation. 1) Name of firm with address; 2) Type of business (Large/Small Business, Women Owned Small Business, HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, 8(a), etc). 3) CAGE Code:
