- *****SAM-DESCRIPTION: RFI-SOURCES SOUGHT' ***** Statement of Work Service Care Line: Specialty Department: Wound Care/Podiatry I. Introduction The Alexandria VA Health Care System (AVAHCS) in Pineville, LA is seeking to purchase two 4 therapy negative pressure system devices/wound vacs. Project Scope The following equipment request is being made because the facility is in need of wound vacs to provide healing care using negative pressure devices. These devices allow for advanced wound care techniques to used for our veterans. Negative pressure devices allow for wound drainage management and facilitate accelerated healing. This particular device must allow 4 different therapies by one device. III. Product Specifications and Quantities The product specifications reflect those provided by our recommended vendor. Listed below are the products salient features: V.A.C. Ulta Therapy Unit The only Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) unit which offers 4 patented therapies in one system: V.A.C.® Therapy 1. The only therapy system with SENSAT.R.A.C. (Proprietary), EASYCLEAR PURGE , and SEAL CHECK Technologies: Proprietary technology that continuously monitors and maintains pressure at the wound site by adjusting pump output and compensating for wound distance, position, blockages, and exudate characteristics. 2. During NPWT, there are VAC Granufoam Dressings for all types of wounds which draw the wound edges together, remove fluids, and promote granulation. 3. Volumetric installation 4. Capable of performing the following four therapies: IV. Warranty and Support The warranty and support must cover all components of the requirement in accordance with standard manufacturer s warranty. V. General Information / Requirements Hard copies of brochures for proposed equipment illustrating dimensions, pictures and materials shall be brand name or equal. All products shall have same or better warranty as comparable products above. Products shall be delivered to the Alexandria VAHCS, Warehouse Building 136, 2495 Shreveport Hwy 71 North, Pineville, LA 71360. __________________________________________________________________________ 1. Installation: No installation is required. 2. Training: No training is required. 3. Contractor cannot make any changes to the delivery schedule at the request of Site POC. Contractors must coordinate deliveries with Site POCs before shipment of equipment to ensure sites have adequate storage space. All shipments, either single or multiple container deliveries, will bear the VA Purchase Order number on external shipping labels and associated manifests or packing lists. In the case of multiple container deliveries, a statement readable near the VA PO number will indicate total number of containers for the complete shipment (ex. Package 1 of 2 ), clearly readable on manifests and external shipping labels.
