Description

This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This acquisition will be made in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6 �Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and solicitation for commercial Items,� as applicable, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation (a written solicitation will not be issued) and quotes are being requested. The Solicitation number is RFQ-NIAID-2061217 and the solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotes (RFQ). This acquisition will be processed under FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2021-05, Effective 03/10/2021. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 325120, Industrial Gas Manufacturing, with a small business size standard size of 1,000 employees. This requirement is set-aside for small business. Background and description of requirement: The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) dry ice deliveries are essential to furthering of the critical research projects of Division of Intramural Research (DIR), NIAID. Disruption in this critical service would cause a detriment to the laboratories and the integrity of research projects. This is a Base + 3 Option Years requirement for Dry Ice only 1/8� Hight Density Rice Commercial Grade accepted. See attachment for requirements. The requirement for the BASE year is for approximately: 186,700 pounds Place of Delivery: 3 separate buildings/10 locations Delivery (bi-weekly) Bethesda, Maryland 4 Memorial Drive, Bldg 4 50 South Drive, Bldg 50 33 North Drive, Bldg 33 Period of Performance BASE: 04/01/2021-03/31/2022 OY1: 04/01/2022-03/31/2023 OY2: 04/01/2023-03/31/2024 OY3: 04/01/2024-03/31/2025 *Please include your DUNS number on quote *Include response to FAR 52.204-26 attachment and return with quote *Include response to FAR 52.204-24 if applicable Submission shall be received not later than 10:00 a.m. EST, March 30, 2021.
