- REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) Medical, Dental and Surgical Supplies and Equipment U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection � Introduction:� �The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and its organizational components require medical supplies for Federal personnel who perform emergency medical services and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for its operational and pandemic mission critical needs. ��DHS organizational components and subcomponents that have emergency medical programs and PPE for its operational and pandemic mission critical needs include: Customs and Border Protection (CBP) U.S. Border Patrol; Office of Field Operations; Office of Air and Marine; Advanced Training Center. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Federal Protective Service (FPS) Transportation Security Administration (TSA) U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) U.S. Secret Service (USSS) � This is an RFI released pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10 � Market Research. This RFI�s purpose is to obtain market information on viable sources of supply, industry practices, answers to specific questions, and industry comments.� This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. All information received in response to this RFI will be treated as business confidential information. Nonetheless, submitters should properly mark their responses if the information is confidential. The U.S. Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this survey; responses to the RFI will not be returned. Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. �Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI.� RFI Response due date: April 1, 2021, 4:00pm EST.� Classification Original Set Aside: Product Service Code: 65 � MEDICAL, DENTAL SUPPLIES AND EQUIPMENT NAICS Code: 423450 � Medical, Dental, and Hospital Equipment and Supplies Merchant Wholesalers Instructions to Responders: ��Responses from all capable and qualified sources are encouraged to respond to this request. ��Request respondents complete the Attachment 1 questionnaire and view Attachment 2, the Statement of Work (SOW) detailing required supplies and project requirements.� �� Responses should adhere to the following formatting and outline instructions: All submissions shall be made electronically and be in one of the following formats: Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF. Cover Page (1page), Title, Organization, Responders technical and administrative points of contact to include names, addresses, phone, fax number and email addresses. Please note that the response shall provide sufficient technical data to determine how you fully meet the requirements as specified in Attachment 2.� Please note that responses are due no later than April 1, 2021, 4:00 pm EST.� �The preferred method of submission is via email. The point of contact for this action is Teresa Nechvatal, Contracting Officer.� Teresa.Nechvatal@cbp.dhs.gov� �Only electronic responses are requested, please include �RFI Response - Medical/Dental Supplies� in your email subject.� �No evaluation letters and/or results will be issued to the respondents. �No solicitation exists at this time; therefore, please do not request a copy of the solicitation.� It is the responsibility of any potential offeror to monitor this site for the release of any solicitation or synopsis. Background/Overview: �The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) intends to issue a Request for Information (RFI) for medical supplies.� CBP and other DHS Components require vendor(s) to supply medical supplies and equipment used by personnel to train for and perform medical treatments, tests, and operations.�� Supplies are those used in a pre-hospital, emergency medical services (EMS) context, and often times in an austere, remote environment. �Other DHS Components that use medical supplies include Federal Protective Service (FPS), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), U.S. Coast Guard (USCG), and U.S. Secret Service (USSS). The information provided may be used by CBP in developing and refining its Acquisition Strategy, Statement of Work, and Performance Specifications. Responses shall be the minimum length necessary to accommodate all requested information and submitted via e-mail only. Proprietary information, if any, should be minimized and MUST BE CLEARLY MARKED. To aid the Government, please segregate proprietary information. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the beta.SAM website. It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor these sites for additional information pertaining to this requirement.
