- PRESOLICITATION NOTICE ONLY - WHITE MOUNTAIN APACHE DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONAL FACILITIES � FORT APACHE AGENCY � Structural Repairs - Solicitation Number: 140A1121Q0015. This is a pre-solicitation notice only and does not constitute a solicitation. Accordingly, no response is due at this time, nor will any questions of a technical or contractual nature be answered. Specific instructions on submitting responses will be contained in solicitation documents. A date and time for a site visit will be specified in the solicitation. A firm fixed priced contract is anticipated. Requirement is 100% set-aside for small business. The applicable NAICS is 236220 and the business size standard is $36.5 M size standard. Contractor shall be registered in System for Award Management (SAM) under the appropriate NAICS code. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Subpart 36.204, Disclosure of Magnitude of Construction Project, the magnitude of this project is (B) between $100,000 and $250,000. In accordance with FAR 28.102 for construction contracts greater than $35,000 but not greater than $150,000, payment protection(bond) is required within 10 days of award. The location is White Mountain Apache Department of Correctional Facilities in Whiteriver, Arizona, 33�48�13.89�N 109�58�56.29�W. The period of performance is for 120 days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. In compliance with FAR 22.403-1, Construction Wage Rate Requirements, the prevailing wage rates will apply. A solicitation will be issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) solicitation. The solicitation subsequent to this announcement may be canceled at any time. NOTE: This notice does not obligate the government to award a contract nor does it obligate the government to pay for any quote preparation costs. Complete solicitation and attachments will be posted on or about APRIL 6th, 2021. Project Description: Task 1. � A & D POD, Masonry Wall repairs. In D-POD, remove masonry fill material, where roof joists pass through non-bearing concrete masonry walls and leaving a 2� void around roof joists and then filled void with �Compressible Material� reference to Architectural Plans, Page 17, Framing Details, #230. Compressible material will allow the roof joist to naturally move without putting stress on the wall. Compressible material will allow the roof joist to naturally move without putting stress on the wall. Task 2. � Reset existing door #104A. Extend lintel into new CMU. Correct placement of existing door frame to allow proper door movement. Rehang existing door within adjusted frame. Replace hinges and hardware as needed. Adjust door as required to ensure proper movement of door. Task 3. � Flashing/CMU repairs at lower roof parapet. Remove existing flashing and caulking as needed to facilitate repair. Install new metal flashing where lower level CMU parapet wall meets higher level CMU wall. Tuck and Point both horizontal and vertical surfaces with new material of the junction. Repair any roofing membrane damaged during the new flashing install. Correct existing flashing at roof level at this junction and install new tapered insulation if necessary, to promote positive drainage away from these corners. Task 4. � Sidewalk removal and replacement to facilitate positive drainage. Saw cut and remove existing damaged and spalling section of concrete sidewalk at front entry approximately 120�. Install new concrete sidewalk to match existing and slope to drain away from building. Task 5. � Repair concrete floor in C-Block where floor meets CMU Bearing wall. Clean debris in existing gap and prepare as needed to receive floor leveling material. Pour self-leveling concrete floor compound approximately 20-30 square feet. After compound has cured apply concrete to floor to match existing. Task 6. � Site drainage Improvements - Install concrete swale from downspouts to carry water to positive drainage location. Regrade as needed to facilitate placement of swale. Task 7. � Redirect roof downspout drainage off front sidewalk and direct away from building. Disconnect existing downspout. Add new section to gutter to match existing to the east of the existing downspout location. All 10-12� new section of gutter at an angle above exiting window to allow vertical section of downspout to discharge off the existing concrete sidewalk. Existing vertical section of downspout may be reused as long as the integrity of the downspout system remains. If existing downspout cannot be property reused, it must be replaced with new downspout. Add new splash block at discharge of relocated downspout. Paint downspout to match existing. Task 8. � Repair (Tuck & Point) Masonry cracks on Interior and exterior. Labor and materials for repairs for approximately 300 square feet (allowance). Repaint repaired masonry to match adjacent finishes. Task 9. � Repair Miscellaneous Interior Drywall cracks. Labor & material for repairs for existing damage (allowance). Repaint repaired drywall to match adjacent finishes.
