Description
THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS OR QUOTES. �This is not a solicitation or request for offers. �No solicitation package is available and telephone requests will not be honored. �Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The U.S. Department of Navy; Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) Contracting Division proposes to award a firm fixed price order to be placed on a limited source basis against the Federal Supply Schedule contract awarded by General Services Administration to Amazon Web Services (AWS), Inc. located at 410 Terry Ave N, Seattle WA 98109-5210, in accordance with FAR 8.405-6(c).� NRL, Ocean Science Division, Center for Geospatial Sciences, Code 7340 has a requirement to procure cloud computing services from AWS.� Cloud computing is a model for enabling ubiquitous, convenient, on-demand network access to a shared pool of configurable computing resources (e.g., networks, servers, storage, applications, and services) that can be rapidly provisioned and released with minimal management effort or service provider interaction. This acquisition will be conducted under the authority of the Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) Program.� The primary statutory authorities are Title III of the Federal Property and Administrative Services Act of 1949 (41 U.S.C. 251, et seq.) and Title 40 U.S.C. 501, Services for Executive Agencies the Department of Navy, contracting through NRL proposes to place an order against a Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) contract awarded by the GSA on a limited source basis. �All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. �The applicable North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) for this requirement is 518210 with the size standard of $32.5 in millions of dollars. �The Product Service Code (PSC) is DK01. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
