Description

The United States Army Mission and Installation Contracting Command - Yuma Proving Ground (MICC-YPG), U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), Yuma, Arizona, intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) purchase order on a sole source basis with PerkinElmer Health Sciences, Inc. 710 Bridgeport Ave, Shelton CT 06484-4750. The United States Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG) has a requirement for preventative maintenance liquid scintillation counter Tri-Carb 4910TR. The maintenance will include repair and make adjustments to the instrument; conduct applicable function check or a diagnostic check; conduct a successful calibration of the instrument in accordance with the manufacturer�s recommended procedures. �Services include PM visit, parts, travel, and phone support.� The proposed service contract provides for on-call repair service and one annual preventive maintenance visit. The instrument supported under this contract is complex Radiation instrument manufactured by PerkinElmer. This instrument has unique designs and unique/proprietary parts and firmware/software that only a properly trained technician can service correctly. For this reason, it is important to select only vendors that are certified/authorized by the manufacturer; PerkinElmer does not authorize third-parties to service their instruments domestically, they have their own service technicians in-house. Using PerkinElmer as the sole source for the repair is the only way to ensure the repair is performed properly, or if not, to have a valid warranty case when seeking to redress any issue with them. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) NAICS Code 811219 �Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance� size standard for NAICS Code 811219 is $22,000,000.00. Award for this requirement will be accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested person may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. In order to protect proprietary information and prevent the unintentional releasing of guarded information all interested firms must conduct their own research regarding the specifications of the above listed item. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
